Deadline: September 1, 2020
In its third year, NY-ACDA Choral Grants provides funding to members of the New York American Choral Directors Association for innovative projects and/or supplies that support choral singing and/or reach people of all ages who may not otherwise have access to the benefits and community of choral music. In light of the immense challenges facing choral directors/educators and their singers, we are offering a number of immediate grants to assist our members. All grants will be implemented from September 2020 – December 31, 2021. Extensions can be requested in response to unforeseen events.
At this time, it is highly unlikely that we will support projects which require in-person attendance such as traditional honor choirs, festivals, and in-person workshops.
We request proposals that support at least three of the following funding priorities:
Funding Priorities for Immediate Grants
- Focus on choral work and/or singing
- Reach populations who may not have access to choirs and/or singing
- Innovative and creative
- Sustainable projects/supplies (e.g. technology, software, virtual teaching resources)
- Collaborative (e.g., with other funder involvement and/or implementation partners, such as a consortium commission)
- Replicable or adaptable to other settings
Funding priority will be given to people and organizations who have not yet received funding from NY-ACDA Choral Grants.
